Computer-Controlled Planting
Pospíšil, Jan ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Růžička, Richard (advisor)
This work is focused on the issue of plant cultivation in domestic conditions. We focused on the automation of the growbox using the Wemos D1 R32 ESP32 board, which then consists of the design and implementation of three parts of the solution, i.e. the growbox itself, including the sensors needed to maintain ideal conditions for the plant being grown, the user applications, for interpreting the values and the configuration of the growbox. Application to collect data from growbox, for later analysis. The solution includes the creation of a demonstration growbox, software for all parts and comparison with available home growing systems.
LED light with adjustable spectral radiation for breeding and growing
Satora, Ondřej ; Hrach, Petr (referee) ; Klozar, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of my master’s thesis is the design of the LED lighting system for breeding and growing purposes as replacement for the classical high-pressure sodium lamps and other sources of light used today. The whole system can be controlled locally by buttons or remotely by web server using Ethernet interface. LEDs are powered by five-channel step-down converter with current feedback. Converters are controlled by pulse width modulation generated by microcontroller.
Automatic greenhouse for growing plants
Paprsek, Adam ; Somer, Jakub (referee) ; Macháň, Ladislav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is study the problems of automatic control greenhouse for growing plants and design concept of electronics. It focuses on possibilities of compensation of direct sunlight using artificial light sources, which has different wavelengths for the growth and flowering. Another function is to control humidity in the soil by watering. If the maximum humidity or temperature is reached to required values inside the greenhouse the fan will be switch on automatically. If the temperature falls under required limit, the green house will be possible to heat to achieve optimal adjustable temperature. The concept is designed to safe operate not only for the crew of greenhouse but for the cultivated plants also.
Integrovaná ochrana rostlin v akvaponických systémech
URBÁSEK, Jan
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to develop a literature search focused on the issue of integrated pest management (IPM) in aquaponics. Due to the fact that the literature focused on IPM in aquaponics is very limited, the work is based primarily on information about plant protection used in greenhouses or hydroponics. Individual methods of plant protection were evaluated based on their applicability in various types of aquaponic systems. The evaluation also considered their real usage in commercial aquaponic farming. Prevention is proving to be the most effective. By following strict preventive measures, more significant problems can be prevented. Subsequent resolution of the problems can be quite complicated and can cause irreversible economic losses on plant products. Chemical protection is now commonly used in plant protection in greenhouses and hydroponics. However, the application of chemical pesticides in aquaponics is highly problematic due to their possible toxicity to aquatic organisms. Due to the limited possibilities of using traditional chemical pesticides, it is therefore necessary to look for other alternatives. Natural products based on plant extracts could become one of these alternatives. There is a large number of plants that have pesticidal effect, but the possibility of their application is without further research very limited, as most products of plant origin have not been tested for their toxicity to aquatic organisms. In this work has been created an overview of plant products available on the market that could be used against problematic pests and diseases. Also based on literature sources there has been created a list of plants that can be recommended for future research into usability and inclusion in the IPM system of large aquaponic farms.
Hobby akvaponie
VONDRUŠKA, Vojtěch
The aim of this bachelor thesis was analysing hobby aquaponics systems available on the market and then designing, assembling and testing own aquaponics hobby system which can be used on balconies, terraces and gardens. Five different media beds and one combination of media bed and raft system were selected and evaluated. From the identified shortcoming of systems on the market were designed, assembled and tested in practice two media beds aquaponics systems. These systems were evaluated and compared with systems available on the market.

Tradiční a moderní způsoby přípravy osiva polních plodin
Necid, Václav
The bachelor thesis deals with the traditional and modern method of seed crop preparation. In the introduction of the thesis, the issue of seed production and its legal regulations is discussed, both at the level of the Czech Republic and in selected European countries. Agrotechnical differences are described in conventional and alternative seed production systems. Traditional and modern methods of seed treatment are described and their applicability and efficiency are evaluated on examples from agricultural practice. At the end of the thesis is described the research task. The aim of the research was to verify the effect of special treatment of seeds - plasma surface treatment and other seed treatments on germination and emergence of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum). The work uses professional books and magazines and available internet resources. The experiment was realized in the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics at the Department of Crop Science, Plant Breeding and Plant Medicine, AF MENDELU. In the experiment, seeds of winter wheat (variety Julie) treated with various variants of treatment were used. The germination rate determination results showed that K2 (Vitavax 2000 and TERRA-SORB foliar) had the highest germination percentage (98.75%), while P2 (low-temperature plasma and Vitavax 2000 and TERRA-SORB foliar and BlackJak) had the lowest germination percentage (88.75 %). Low-temperature plasma (LTP) treatment of seeds has no effect on the elimination of pathogens compared to variants where Vitavax 2000 was used.

Studium obsahových látek chmele : obsah a složení silic a vybraných antioxidantů v chmelových šišticích /
Pluháčková, Helena
The aim of this work was the determination of essential oil content and composition in hop cones according to the founding year of the hop garden and for selected hop varieties (Sládek, Premiant, Saaz) in the hop-growing region Tršice; the comparison of essential oil content and composition for the most important Czech hop variety -- Saaz -- from different hop-growing regions in the Czech Republic (Saaz, Úštěk, Tršice) according to the founding year of the hop garden; and determination of the content of tocopherol isomers and the activity of vitamin E in hop cones. The hop cone samples were taken from the hop-growing region Tršice according to the variety and the founding year of the hop garden in harvest years 2009-2011 for the determination of essential oil content and composition, in harvest years 2010 and 2011 also the activity of vitamin E and its isomers was determined. For the evaluation of the environmental influence, i.e. the effect of hop-growing regions and the founding year of the hop garden to the essential oil content and composition, the samples from Úštěk and Saaz hop growing regions were obtained. The results indicate that the highest essential oil content was found in the samples of Sládek variety (1095-1946 ul.100g-1), the lowest essential oil content was determined for the Saaz variety (271-478 ul.100g-1), but with important share of the essential oil component farnesene. The variety Premiant showed the highest activity of vitamin E in the rates of 32.10 -- 120.98 mg.kg-1. The results from different hop-growing regions indicate that the hop-gardens need to be renewed steadily, because the age structure of the hop growth is one of the important factors that influence the yield stability. The age structure of hop-gardens is insufficient from the long-term point of view, especially in the Úštěk and Saaz regions, the highest essential oil content was found in the region Tršice.
